Do you have a garage with a plain cement floor?  She might go on that rather than in the house if it gets to the point that she absolutely has to.  And that probably has more "outside" smells to encourage her.

Latest update-extreme wind warning (winds at least 110 MPH) now in effect for Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater until 9:30 PM. Also, I have lived here for 38 years.  I have never seen this many tornado warnings.  They were coming across our TV screen every 10 minutes.  Denis Phillips, the meterologist for ABC in Tampa just said this will feel like a EF-1 Tornado that will last longer.  Stay safe my friends on the Gulf Coast.

I'll be praying a hedge of protection over them and all who stayed behind. I'm so glad my niece and her family flew out early yesterday. This hurricane is big.

The guy reporting outside along the coast at Sarasota is TIED onto a steel railing!

This is something that puts in perspective how much humans are actually not able to predict the capriciousness of Mother Earth and her weather!🙏

He is tied of course to prevent a surge washing him away.
