I would say 80% of the spam calls to me are from this extended auto warrenty racket.  Even on TV  must be a hot market.   I too have landline.  I hate talking on cell.

If i dont recognize the number, I dont answer. If its important, they'll leave a message. 

 

There's a 800 number you can call to block these callers. That alone has significantly decreased the number of calls I get.
