I was watching it earlier and it was live and the host at the time said they were going to be showing pre-recorded shows so that HSN workers would be safe.   Recorded shows happened at 12 noon eastern time today.

As soon as I saw the projected track of the storm I thought of them all. I hope all stay safe.

Good.  I hope everyone will be safe.  This is just a random and insignificant question but in situations like this, I wonder if they asked everyone to work a little overtime to pre-record some new shows to air for the next few days, or if they will just select previously-aired shows to run.  I guess we will see.  Again, not important.  I was just curious.

I was waiting for that to occur.  I was watching the last hurricane when they went to pre recorded shows.  I'm hoping for the best for them, this one may hit as a category 5.  They broadcast from St Petersburg and are surrounded by ocean.  I also, like many others here, have relatives and friends on the gulf coast.

Here we go again , sending prayers out to everyone in Florida!

@santorini It's a good question and my assumption is they are shows that have already been aired.  I'm sure with how these storms seem to come fast they don't have much time to pre record stuff.  Plus I watch HSN often and the last storm I did see several  shows aired that I already had watched live.

No woner.   This is going to be even worse in that area than Hurricane Helene.

I figured they'd close down early to give their workers time to secure their homes and get out of Dodge.

My sister's friend, who lives in the Tampa area, was ordered to evacuate so the HSN employees may have to get busy, pack and get out of town.

It may be a long time before HSN is back to normal.
