I can get QVC, Q2, HSN, JTV on UHF channels using a $14. interior antenna. No cable needed. I also get all the local channels, PBS, a million Spanish and religion channels.
@Moonchilde. I got the same survey.

You’re pretty lucky with that, @Kachina624. What a house will receive via antenna depends on a lot of things, most of them not under any control of the homeowner.
When the digital changeover occurred, I had a co-worker who refused to get anything but an antenna, she would not pay a nickel for her TV except the cost of an antenna.
We lived in the middle of four million people. She was able to get maybe 10 channels and of those 10, only 2-3 with really good pictures. I looked at the charts that were put out at the time, and our huge, densely populated urban area was basically kwap generally for digital antennas.
She tried out 2-3 different antennas, not just one and done. There wasn’t one that was a lot better, just passably better.
Reception depends on the direction of the dwelling, the direction of the TV, proximity to windows, and line-of-sight to the larger antennas/broadcasting. A person on Main St might get 20 channels but a person on 1st Ave two blocks away might get 8. It also depends on interference of tall buildings and mountains.
I think you live kind of rural? You are actually better off, antenna-wise, than some in populated areas.

I don’t for a second think HSN is considering going to internet only.
I haven’t had cable for years. I stream only, various ways. But HSN has a huge following of people that are TV only shoppers. Not everyone has internet and even many who have it aren’t interested in shopping online.

BTW, Afrer Hurricane Irma, when electricity was working again but my internet was not, I somehow got HSN and QVC on my TV. They did not come in very well but there they were. I was flipping through channels just to see what I could get with my poor reception & no cable. I don’t know how or why they came in when, to my understanding, both are cable channels.

We get HSN2 but not Q2 on our Comcast lineup.

You probably had an antenna hooked up without realizing it, or your TV has an internal one that just activates.

They surely must be considering going cheaper, perhaps planning to no longer pay for a particular cable co if they have a very small number of respondents who use that service. They’re clearly interested in viewership - yes, no, maybe. I thought it was interesting that the #1 question choice at the beginning was “I will no longer watch QVC” if it was a cord-cutting household. A question calculated to tell just how many people would watch with streaming services, Roku Firestick, smart TVs if cable/satellite was not used.
I think that they’re buying into the feeling that “most” people are cutting the cable. While many are, I don’t think “most” are, and I think it’s not good to think that “most” are; maybe the nitty-gritty of why the survey.

I've been a bigger HSN shopper in the past. This year, I'd say I've only placed three orders. So if they're trying to get input from those of us who aren't buying much...I would have gotten this survey, and I didnt.
It really doesn't make much difference to me if home shopping channels are or are not available for me to watch "live". That would have been my answer, if I'd been asked.

The biggest single factor as to why my HSN shopping has lessened is that in LA on U-Verse, all of the shopping channels were right next to each other on the dial and just changing channels I could easily see what was on in a few seconds. Now with our DirecTV, none of the shopping channels are “in a row” so I don’t always see them all. I actually wish they would swap channel #s between Evine & HSN, I would see it more easily.
I will happily look something up from a shopping channel’s website and buy, but I have to have seen it on-air first, or seen/heard a reference to it - something to remind me.
