[Love my grandkids]

I learned this the hard way some time ago when I accidntally spoiled something, so maybe this will help someone.

When you open the box to post, click on the yellow button which is the Spoiler function. Then type in your info. Click to post and you will see a gray bar that says "SPOILER" and anyone reading will have to click on the gray bar to read the text.

As I said, i had to learn this the hard way!

I've seen the gray bar but had - have no clue what it's about.  Is there a reason for it or reason to have to hit first before reading a post?

I just ignore it....................

ha!  I do it the other way around.

I type out the whole post. Then highlight just the section I want contained. Then tap the spoiler button. When I preview the post the spoiler is in place.

For me the spoiler is directly below HTML, and looks (to me) like a gold earring. I know things may appear in different parts of the screen on different devices.

   @fthunt   when discussing a movie ending, or book plot lines you may want to put certain info inside a spoiler, so you don't give away the important parts to someone who hasn't seen or read it yet. You tap the grey bar if you want to see what's concealed.

Or someone might post a "guess who this is" photo, and you put your guess in a spoiler so other posters can keep guessing without being influenced by your answer.

    But...most of the time I see it used here, it was tapped by accident and the poster didn't know how to remove it.
