Did anyone see yesterday's fb post from HONY? He says, "I'm homosexual and I'm afraid about what my future will be and that people won't like me."

Over a half million thumbs up and almost 45,000 comments, even some words of encouragement from HC. I hope the support shown somehow eases his sadness. Of all of the HONY stories, and many are poignant, this one really got to me.

I don't do FB, but sounds amazing.  Hopefully he'll have everything he wants in life.

It got to me too.  Some of the comments are also heartrending.

I pray he finds his "support system".  He has a life to live and needs to know how to do it ... on his terms.  Blessings and encouragement to him .

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

With any luck he will.    My sister once brought a friend to our house, she was a lesbian.  We all had a great time, my husband took her out rock collecting.  When she left she hugged us practically crying and thanked us for treating her like a human being.  Even tho my sister guarenteed her we would she was afraid.   Some of us will never know that kind of pain.

I've read HONY for a long time now but that photo yesterday got to me in ways that others have not. The despair and pain in that little boy's face and posture is heartbreaking.  His one sentence made me cry for him and for others who feel or have felt that way in their lives. He's too young to feel that pain but he does.

When I see something like this I have to wonder who sent it in? Would his parents post this? I hope he is ok.

facebook took it down, according to an article yesterday afternoon:

Does anyone think this photo and post on FB could be harmful to the teen?
