Is really prevalent right now. Just hearing this on our local news. They said those that are being seen at the hospitals are a lot of young folks.....in their 30's......and out of all of those, 71% didn't get the flu shot......

Believe if I had a choice of whether to go into the hospital to be treated or to stay at home, I would chose staying at home for the time being. Unless it was a truly serious emergency. The hospital is one of the first places where you can really get sick right now.

Guess this is the same age group that aren't signing up yet for the insurance being offered to them because they don't think they will be getting sick because they are young.

Well I guess I didn't miss her. By the way have you noticed how many regulars have not been on any of the threads lately? They seem to have all jumped this ship.

Guess they jumped this ship because of all of the new ones that are on here for the holidays. They'll be back once the kids get back to school.

Well, it's time for me to call it a day. All is quiet here now, and I am on the tired side. Just don't usually sit up this late any more.

Hope to see all of you around in 2014.

Good night and sweet dreams. And stay healthy.

We've had schools closed in our town already this year due to the H1N1 flu and the gastrointestinal virus.

I had the flu a few weeks ago and I got my flu shot in October. The shot doesn't cover all the different strains, unfortunately.
