@goldensrbest.  I haven't heard any mention of DoorDash but I do have Grubhub through Prime.  I haven't used it but a few times as it's still very expensive.  The restaurants basic prices seem higher and they still tack on a "service fee", and of course there's the tip.  Many of the serving sizes are smaller than usual, the menu is limited and you can't use coupons.

@songbird.  The delivery services have apps wich you could check now.  You order from their app.  Go online and check out your favorite restaurants on the Grub Hub etc. Apps.

@goldensrbest, I've tried it several times this year after I found out that Amazon Prime members got free delivery for a year.

@Kachina624   What you stated must be regional.   AP/GH+ services (all restaurants) in my county.  Which means I have literally thousands of restaurants to choose from.

The ones I order from I know their "real" prices.  GH+ "food" prices are exactly the same!

The service fees have been cut in half next to nothing really.  Now I pay no more than .65¢ in service fees.  I noticed, the closer the restaurant is to my home, the lessor the service fees.

I do not use their "tipping" section.  I personally tip on my own because I live in a high rise.  If the delivery driver does not follow my "DETAILED instructions" .......NO TIP.  So far I've only had 1 "no tipping" bad delivery.  The delivery person did not buzz me.  Some one let them in which is a no-no for security reasons.  They left my order in the "public" lobby which somehow ended up in the porters basement office (my nickname is the same as one of the buildings porters).  They thanked me for their lunch. icon_exclaim.gif

Complained to GH+ & I was properly refunded & they replaced my order for FREE!   Great customer service.  Everything was done by "chat."  About an hour after I received my replacement order they called me to make sure I was properly compensated.

In my neck of the woods, most of the eateries are members of several "delivery" services.  GrubHub+ is the cheaper one only if you are a Prime member.  Otherwise, it's a pick & choose for them.......which ever ones gives the best delivery service are the ones people go for.

@Mz iMac, I had heard about the extension but not in writing anywhere.  I believe your post a few months ago is how I found out about free delivery if you have Amazon Prime.  Girl, you are a wealth of information because you (and others in Travel) also helped me with my travel accommodations to Georgia this past October.  Everything turned out great.

One needs an Amazon prime account and then download the Grubhub app and register for the Grubhub plus account.  I'd be lost without Instacart and Grub Hub.

I'd be thrilled if I could get pizza delivery! There is absolutely NO food/grocery delivery by any service to the area I live in--very rural.
