Re: Graceland in foreclosure?

I think this is fraud. I read this morning that the finance company and notary are in Jacksonville, Fl. I live local to Jacksonville and the situation is being reported on the local news.

The news station went to the finance company listed and it is a post office box. One number is disconnected and another number is not being answered.

Also, the notary is local and she denies ever notorizing the document. I am happy the judge halted the foreclosure.

The FBI needs to keep investigating, because who knows how many other people they've done this to, who weren't as high profile as Graceland?

And what kind of idiots try to foreclose on something as iconic as Graceland???  They really thought Presley's family would just say "Oh...okay, I guess it's yours"?

I hope this was their "fatal" mistake.

Come to think of it, what about the auction house that was going to hold the sale?  Did they even think to validate ownership?  Or were they in on the scam?

The New York Post is reporting today that a Nigerian scammer is taking credit for the fake documents.  Strange to reach out and say "hey I did it!"

Just to update it is being reported today, the day of the King's death and arrest as been made.  It was a 53 year old Missouri woman pretending to be 3 different people/entities who tried to scam the money.  The LLC who held the note, Lisa Marie, and the notary public.  Then of course tried to blame someone in Nigeria.

I wonder what are people thinking?  This is just so bizarre to come up with.

@beckyb1012  I had forgotten all about this. Thanks for the update. It makes me wonder why do people do something like this? It never pays.

Isn't Elvis BURIED  there? I sure wouldn't want a house with a dead body buried in the yard. And if he, or anyone else is, what are they going to do with those corpses?

Yes, Elvis, his parents and his twin bro that died at birth are all buried in the back yard at Graceland, they took us back there on the tour.
