@cherry  I don't feel sorry for her.  She's been around long enough to know she'd get a bad reaction and she did.  I think it was an unfair one but she'll go back to her comfortable life and be just fine, I'm sure.

As if what she tweeted wasn't bad enough, why pick on Valerie and Chelsea?  What did they do to RB that drove her to tweet about them at all?  It's hatred without an impetus and that's as worrisome as the rest of it.

Why don't they just call the show, "Roseanne Has Tourette's," and write her out until she comes back from deep therapy

I am not sure its unfair @Laura14  but I am sure ,she is enjoying all of the stir ,this kind of stuff causes. She seems to delight in offending people, and she doesn't care about who will suffer a job loss ,or financial difficulty ,because of her mouth

@Laura14 No, not really. Blatantly racist statements - like that fro RB today - are considered wrong by the vast majority of people (fortunately). It’s really not that hard.

            I agree, @QVCkitty1.    It reminds me of the fable about the scorpion and the frog.   The scorpion asks the frog to help it across the river, but the frog sensibly is wary and fears the scorpion's reputation and poisonous sting.    The scorpion replies that it wouldn't sting or poison because they both would drown.   The frog reconsiders, transports the scorpion who promptly stings the frog midstream dooming both to death.    When the frog asks why it was mortally stung, the scorpion replies this always was and always will be its nature.    

            People aren't frogs or scorpions, and we offer them chances to learn from their mistakes, but it's sensible to notice and care about patterns.   I was surprised that anyone knowing Barr's history patterns and loathsome attitude cheered for her in this new show (or will do so in the future) without at least a little skepticism.    Her abhorrent tweet should be enough for us to say "enough," in my opinion.   I do understand that corporations look at pros and cons and calculate the odds and then roll very expensive dice.   Regrettably, there always will be entertainment that appeals to even the lowest common denominator.

@cherry  I'm not so sure of that.  I think she had an urge that should have been suppressed and didn't react quickly enough to do just that.  I said earlier I didn't think this was premeditated just stupid and I'm still going with that.

Maybe @Laura14 , as someone with black family members, and friends, I just don't have the strength to muster much compassion for her at all. She is the type of person that would pull the wings off a butterfly in a nano second
