Most of the time, I don't even know what it is that they're trying to sell.............

I agree with you, KYToby, but have to say ~ I'm 43 years old (don't think that's too ancient, lol) and I still think it's a ridiculous commercial. Just sayin'... :-)

I also felt great disdain for the red-haired family Go Daddy commercial. That really was about THE stupidest commercial of all time.
As much as I don't like the Progressive Flo character, this commercial makes hers look Einstein-ish. I have to say, though, the one Flo commercial with the 'sprinkles are for winners' IS pretty funny. ![]()

Go Daddy is still stuck in the privileged white male 18-34 demographic, clearly aiming all of their advertising at the hormone-overloaded. Their ads (and Carls ads) haven't changed with the times. Besides just being in error as far as demographics and $$, the ads of both companies are pretty offensive to women generally, of any age.
I have no use for what Go Daddy sells, but every time I see another crass and sophomoric Carls commercial I'm less apt to ever give them my business.

I agree! And have you seen the lastest TP (Charmin) commercial that says you're so clean after using it, that you can wear your underwear for 2 days, because of no skid marks?
Ewwwwww!!

Actually, in the commercial, the cartoon boy bear is in the basement with his friends, when he tells them that Charmin leaves you so clean, that you could wear your underwear for a second day.
Mom bear comes down the stairs, and says in a shocked voice, "Tell me I did not hear you just say that!"
To which the boy bear says, "I said that you COULD, not that you would"
He then says to his friend, "Good news for you, Skids."

That's pretty much what I said, I just didn't quote the commercial, I just presented the jist of it.....sorry if I was amiss.

When I complained to Carl's Jr. about their tasteless Paris Hilton ad, they actually told me it was aimed at men 18-24. Since I don't fall into that demographic, I swore to never darken their door, and I haven't.
