Sweet mother of Bob Dylan, who do they market to?? Junior High? The last Stick It ad, and the current one are the most inane, stupid commercials I have ever watched. Please someone.... explain to me how these commercials are suppose to sell a product.? The last one with the cute red headed lady, made me want to tint my red hair another color and hide!!!. What is the point of all her customers making gyrations of a "mating nature" while standing in line, and her gyrating back. So DUMB!
Am I just not getting it?

Those aren't her customers, they are her family members, who are just so excited that she finally sold something to someone who wasn't a family member, so that's why they are "dancing" around.
And Go Daddy, helped her create a web page to draw in more customers, who are not family members.
And I agree. The commercial is stupid. I mute it when it comes on.
If a sales person did that just as I was about to buy something, I'd walk out of the store without making the purchase.

I think the ad companies are hiring 20 somethings just out of college who have no sense of decorum. We're getting a lot of frat boy humor. Never have I seen so many commercials which are not funny and done in such poor taste. I've actually sent emails expressing my opinion to the companies several times.
Who dreamed up the toilet paper ad that says, "We all have to go so we might as well enjoy (?) the go," or the woman sitting with a group who is excited about having SAM (super absorbent material, we learn) between her legs? Then there's Carl's Junior ads with Paris Hilton dripping sex in the skimpiest of bikinis washing a car while eating a burger.

lol We're convinced companies are just trying to out-weird each other these days, and failing miserably at humor. But just be thankful you don't live in RI and have to hear this craptacular piece of work 400 times a day... ![]()
BA BAM @shoekitty!!!

How about the Pine Sol commercial @Kachina624 where they go into remarkable detail about the diaper bin... sitting in the sun on a 90* day... with triplets... who have "tummy troubles." Then we are treated to the new "cleaning what stinks since 1929" tagline. Are they serious?! Please, of all of the sales tactics you could employ for what is legitimately a great product, do you have to make my entire family gag while we're eating?! ![]()

Oh geesh, Bam! Slip and Fall attorneys....who knew they would actually advertise on TV like that!

Thanks for explaining, I never would have guessed. You are brilliant! of course I turn the channel half way through. Awful commercial. I also find the Stick commercial, sort rude and really disrespectful. Just not funny. Must be the crowd they cater too. IDK. I have a weird sense of humor along the line of old SNL,Living Color, etc...but these Go Daddy commercials are dumb.

I know, right?! I manage a law firm, and my understanding is that, traditionally, it's frowned upon by the legal community for attorneys to advertise, for the obvious reasons. But lately we're seeing more and more commercials from these ambulance chaser types... and they're getting weirder by the day as you can see! ![]()

I can't stand that commercial either! Clearly those people have no idea how stupid they look. There's another commerical out I just saw for a cereal ~ I can't recall which one. The people in that one are gyrating around like that, too. Must be the latest thing, making a fool out of yourself for a few bucks. Give me Turner Classic Movies any day of the week ~ no commercials and beautiful old movies...

While I, too, find their commercials to be crass and immature, from a business perspective, GoDaddy is doing the smart thing.
In general, their target demographic is younger people. Not only are youjger people more likely to have their own websites, but they are also the people who will be hired as web administrators for small businesses. Of course, the company is going to target them.
Like it or not, the world moves on. The people who freuent these boards are, generally speaking, not the people GoDaddy is courting as new customers.
