At work Friday my Ugg boot sole came away from the base of the boot (I had to tape and use rubber bands to try and keep it together). Shoe repair shops are a dying breed, there aren't many around. I thought I would buy a boot glue from Amazon and try to repair the boot myself. Can anyone recommend a glue they tried and had success with?

Shoe Goo. You can build a house with this glue and it will stand the test of time. Best glue for shoes and boots. Dries clear.

You should order Barge All Purpose Cement. You need to wear a gas mask and use it in a ventilated area due to the fumes.

I bought Loctite Shoe Glue. And I am so pleased with the result,  it attached part of my sole back on to the rest of my sneaker. A month or so ago I was walking in large puddles and the sole came apart from the top of the sneaker,

So I used the Loctite. And I am so glad I did. Ocean City, NJ had a fair on October 11. It was the same weekend as a NorEastern storm hit. I walked in the pouring ran two days in the "repaired" sneakers. And the sneakers are still in one piece. The glue held just fine.

Yes, Shoe Goo for sure !  Make sure it's completely dry.

It works very well, and lasts.
