Two parents brought in sign-up sheets to work. They are $3.50 a box. One parent said if you don't want the cookies, you could donate them and they will send them to the troops.

They aren't good cookies. I don't think they ever were, and I sold them door to door in my early years. I do wish the GS would continue to teach business skills, but with a better product.

It's definitely a better idea to write a check directly to a local group.

I thought they were joking when they said a white cheddar cheese popcorn bag was $35 this year. (same size bags as ones on chip aisle)

I rarely eat cookies though I do like G.S. cookies. I just donate.

I like them! I think they are one of my favorite if not my favorite "boxed" cookie. I just don't eat them, LOL.

My sister asked some girls selling cookies about just making a donation and they said they take the price of the cookies and send boxes to troops overseas. That's nice if they really do it.

When I was a troop leader, we kept 60 cents a box. Most if the money gives to the council and the cookie people. Not a good deal for the girls when you think about it, which is why they stress the business learning/money management aspect for the girls.

Our lawn maintenance guy brought his daughter around. I bought some, just to help them out. He said to donate them if I don't eat them. This must be a theme that they are taught.

I can't eat them because most of the ingredients make me sick (literally, not figuratively.)

I'll bring them to work and put them in the lunch room. I'm sure they'll be eaten.

I don't understand the attraction of GS cookies. I've tried a few and thought they aren't very good.

We don't buy the cookies either. Not that anyone cares.
