Re: Getting along at all levels...

And evil, like anything else in life, is all in the eye of the beholder. ISIS thinks we are evil.

This statement defends evil, and I hope others out there have more backbone than this, because there are certain things in life that inherently evil, and not seeing them, is perpetuating and supporting them.

We as women deal with conflict resolution scenarios on a daily basis. We can empathize, think logically, multitask, think for the future, ie consequences rather than impulsively for the short term...who other than a woman would send her children to war? A woman would only use that as a last resort after all other attempts have failed.

I agree with you!

I agree with some of it. But, I believe it was mothers (women) who strapped bombs to their children in Palestine and Iraq etc. Golda Meir who said something like "there will only be peace when they love their children more than they hate us" Hate affects men and women.

No it doesn't defend evil - it just states a fact. ISIS is fighting because they think that everyone besides themselves are infidels and deserve the DP - including fellow Muslims, who they have killed more frequently than any other group. They feel they are holier than anyone else, and think that Muslims in Pakistan, Iran, etc, are corrupt and evil.

Evil just is. It exists. The evil is that people think it is subjective. It is not. It is not based on perspective, or ideology, or in the eye of the beholder.

And yes, you do need to understand the motivation of your enemy, and what they think/believe might motivate them, but doesn't change what evil is.

We're geared to be self-protective but it's gone off the rails from the media drumbeat. We absolutely must pay attention to the influences we allow in because whatever they may be, we will mirror it.

Re: Getting along at all levels...

I think what you're trying to say is civility has gone down the drain. Peace starts with each of us, which is what many do not get.

Taking that into account, by the looks of what is going on all over the world, and even posts online (including these boards), peace is getting further and further away. Sad but true.

I used to agree with the statement women should run the world, because women aren't violent. But now I just don't know anymore. Because if women cant get along in every day life how are they going to run the world? lol. But yes, men have always started wars. That is a fact.

In no way am I defending evil. I merely stated a fact.

I do not believe Marmalade's statement defends evil. I believe ISIS does believe we are evil.
