@Tinkrbl44 They I was referring to was an NBC news report. I don't care much about gas/oil prices as I drive a hybrid car and heat and cool my home with a Geothermal system. You screamed at the wrong person lady.

@Tinkrbll44 I never said the government controls gas prices. Those are your words. Local state and federal entities tax the gas we all know this. The use of said tax should be applied to our infrastructure but as we know that doesn't always happen. Someone is benefiting?

The US is starting to break records again for crude oil production. In April 2023, the US produced more oil than any other April in history, breaking the 2019 record.

Production is at record levels.

Demand is high due to high temps, return to travel.

Gas company profits high.
