Why do you mention the price of coffee some choose to drink? I believe most people live within their budgets. How they choose to spend the money they worked to earn is their business only.

Some people need their coffee fix as much as they need gas. SO glad I don't drink the stuff. I have enough vices as it is, lol.

@bewise When I worked I'd treat myself to DD. I thought that was expensive but then the franchise that has coffee for $4 came to my town. I'm too cheap to spend that on coffee every day.
Thankfully now that I'm retired I can actually grind my own coffee beans and have a fresh cup at home. When I'm on the road I get Mc D coffee. But I almost always just make my own. For some reason, I only like 2 cups and only in the morning. After that, if I have a hot beverage, I prefer tea.

@bewise .. with all due respect, I think you are comparing apples with oranges. Most people need their cars to travel to and from work which makes getting gas a necessity. Buying coffee at places like Starbucks is not a necessity. By the end of 2020 we were paying less than $2.00 a gallon for gas. Today we are paying $4.49 per gallon. That is ridiculous.

@Puppy Lips ... Coffee can be made at home for a lot less than it costs to go to places like Starbucks. So if anyone desperately needs a coffee fix they have the option to make it at home. On the other hand, we have no choice but to go to a gas station for gas.
