Do you happen to have a pic or exact item title, of the gadget you're referring to?

I bought that page sized "Eye Candy" one (below), and only lasted me 10 minutes.  The batteries are recessed so I couldnt even attempt to fix it. TIA

I've been using my Fanny Pack to carry my Cell Phone.

I'm now going fun shopping & picking up some kind of attractive gizmo, (example below), to Carry around my Cell Phone (around my neck or crossbody):

I like this thread, thank you for starting it. I love these headlamps. I bought 1 to use in my nursing career but use it for so many other things. I use it at night, outside and in my emergency kit for lighting. I keep 1 by my bed at night, in case I need to get up. They work really well.

...I was browsing a few old-ish magazines, and ran across this idea using an old wood cutting board.  Preferably the types we can hang.

The DIY:  Paint the  wood cutting board with chalkboard paint, and after completely dry, use as a chalkboard!

I thought it's a great idea. 

I have a few old cutting boards that I cover with foil and use as a 'hotplate'.  (Placing hot pans and hot bowls, glass baking pans, etc. on it, so to not harm my counter or table.)  

But, the chalkboard idea is something that I hadn't thought about.
