Read what the Bible has to say about gossip. I don,t know the scripture off hand, but will get back and post it. My Grandmother use to say, If you can,t say anything nice, don,t say anything at all.

My personal definition of gossip is pretty much what most of these threads entail. We rehash other people's lives.... Take the Housewives threads they are loaded with gossip. Then yesterday's thread about Robin Thicke and his wife and then it morphed into Tori Spelling's life....all of it is gossip and I am guilty as the next person of it.

Some see gossip as the same as slander, it isn't.

Slandering someone is wrong but gossip doesn't need to be.

I can't see how talking about others can be avoided unless a vow of silence has been taken.
