GOSSIP

1. What is your personal definition of "gossip"?

2. Is gossiping acceptable to you?

3. Is it gossiping if someone uses email or private chat rooms to talk about other people?

4. Is it gossip when we talk about rumors etc. about celebrities?

5. If you follow teachings of Bible scriptures what do you think they tell us about gossip?

6. What should we tell our children about gossip?

Thank you.

This sounds like a research paper.

I'm guessing, but I feel this is the real burning question the new nic wants opinions on.

I'll take the bait...Yes it is gossip, IMO. Does that make you feel better, OP?

I don't think by definition that gossip, is exclusively "negative, demeaning OR detrimental" it is simply information that one passes on to someone who would not normally be privy to it..

Exactly. From the list of questions, it sounds as if someone is writing a research paper, and we are their guinea pigs.

Was Yuban, then changed to Plaid Pants due to forum upgrade, and apparently, I'm back to being Yuban.
