We went for three hours. Some of the addresses listed in the newspaper were duds - others were very pretty. I think our house looks nice as you enter the neighborhood. We put up white lights this year.

@AuntG.....have always liked the white lights....so elegant.

Re: GOING TO GET TO SEE SOME CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Well, it's official.....we are going this evening.  Just had my call....telling me to be ready at 6:00.  She will honk her  horn, and I will have my walker outside my door ready to go.  Will be taking some cookies for us to munch on.

Re: GOING TO GET TO SEE SOME CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Once I get home and get into my jammies, I will come back on here and tell you all about it.  Am so looking forward to seeing all those lights.

Heck, I may even treat her to a Culver's sandwich afterwards.....if there's one close by.  Have never had anything from Culver's because there is not one in my area.  In fact, I don't know of one except for out where my friend lives....but she gets around on the roads more than I do.  So, we'll see.  If not, maybe Steak 'N' Shake....just across the road from where I live......

I'm all ready, except for brushing my teeth.

I'm home, and in my jammies.  Am pretty tired now, so think what I'll do is come on here tomorrow and tell you all about the lights and that beautiful moon.

Really, I need to get my tired body to bed.  Have a good night all.   And sweet dreams.

Ok.....I've had my sleep and am feeling pretty good this morning.  Happy Christmas Eve to everyone.

Last night's going out to see the lights was fantastic.  So many beautiful decorations and lights.  The older homes that have gables were beautifully lit up.  There was one house that was just simply fantastic.  It lit up the whole area.  It was amazing how many people were getting out of their cars to take pictures.

We went to the area known as St. Louis Hills.  That was the area where my friend and I both lived in our younger years.

There was one street where cars were lined up in all directions to go to see the lights.....but we both agreed it would be best if we didn't go there.  It would have taken forever.  It was interesting to see where some folks had a sign in their yard with an FM station number on it.  If you turned to that station, music was playing to go to the flashing lights.  It was pretty neat.  We did that to 2 different houses.

It was a lot of fun.  And yes, we did get to go to Culver's.  The butter burger and hot crispy fries were delicious.  Now I know where there is a Culver's not far from where I live.

Vera is such a sweetheart.....

Oh my, the moon was so beautiful.  The sky was clear and it lit up everything.
