Just hung up from talking with a very close friend....60 years next year.....  She asked me if I would like to go out and see some Christmas Lights.  We will be going Sunday evening.  It has been so long now since I was able to do that.  

Some time next year we will be going out to celebrate our 60 year friendship.  We have seen each other go through a lot....good and bad.....and have always been there for each other.  

Are any of you going to go out to see Christmas Lights???

@ShowMe ~ I have!  A couple of weeks ago, after dinner at our favorite Thai restaurant, my son and I took a drive to see the Christmas lights and decorations.  So beautiful and special to me, because it was shared with my son❤️🎄💚

used to make an evening of it when grandkids were little.....restaurant of their choice for dinner....then lights......now they're old enough to drive!  sweet memories.....

My Dad had a good friend that really put up quite a display of Christmas lights, music and figures. It was quite a crowd pleaser. So every year, we would pile in the car and we drive around and look at Christmas lights.

Of course, we would go to his friend's house. And every year they would invite us in for hot chocolate.

@ShowMe: That's something I haven't done in more years than  I can remember. When I was growing up, my family would all pile up in the station wagon and go riding around looking at lights. It's something we really looked forward.

I enjoy seeing the Christmas lights whenever I am out shopping during the evening hours, ShowMe.

My childhood friend and I have now known one another for 70 years.  It is very special to have a friend for several decades, isn't it?

@golding76......WOW....70 years.  Yes, it is very special.  She is special to me.  She had polio when she was quite young, and today she still suffers from it.  She is one of those that got the symptoms back again, and does get treatment for that.  We are both on a walker now, and do laugh about it.  What a pair we make.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.  We don't know what is in store for us......

Am sure I will enjoy the lights.  It has been ages, so will have my eyes looking out the window the whole time.

We are, tomorrow night, just in our subdivision but that's 8000 houses, so we should have much to look at.

We go out three or four times a week.  We have always done that.

Well, it is time for me to get ready for bed now.  It's been another long day, and I am getting pretty tired now.
