No so-called "freebies" could entice me to get the vaccine, either, because I, like everyone else, can get it free from one source or another.

And I did get the vaccine.........both doses.  Cost me nothing.  The medical health park where I got it did not even ask to see my Medicare card or the backup private insurance card I have for things that Medicare won't cover.

If the vaccine is made  available only to insured people or people who have  cash to pay for it, all efforts to overcome this pandemic will be for nothing.

I doubt the government is involved with the freebies, but they are giving some businesses tax credits that offer their employees time off to get the vaccine.

@songbird  In the article I read said they are a $1 item on the menu so I suspect they aren't very large.

The CDC has nothing to do with it. They are incentives that draw you in to spend money, it’s good will and in the end good business. If I were inclined not to get vaccinated, a piece of cake or a donut would not lead me to a vaccination.
