I discovered this channel on youtube. The lady that is the narrator is an author, and artist, and a collector of all things old and beautiful
It is a soothing and cozy place to visit called* Hopalong Hollow*
She does have a website ,and sells her work, which I have not looked at yet. Her home is lovely, filled with a lifetime of collections, of things she loves
I will not put a link if because it will get poofed..but I will point the way
It is a wonderful relief from all things ugly , and cruel. It is filled with art and literature , and gardens. He voice is low and soothing. It is such a nice place to visit, and she has heaps of videos to share about all sorts of things
I hope you enjoy it
The one I watched today was, tea and scones with Charles Dickens. She bakes for us ,and talks about her teapots ,and china collections, as she sets the table for afternoon tea..

@cherry I hear ya! Unfortunately, I have my DH to compromise with, so we're surfing back and forth between Food Network and several DIY and History channels. He has even deemed to watch some QVC, just to get away.

@Nataliesgramma I'm right there with you! It's probably a good thing that I'm not a drinking person. ![]()

Some of the videos take you on a tour of her house, where she shares her decorating tips, and shows you her furniture. Another is about stencilling a floor ,I think
She is an accomplish gardener and has videos about it. I really enjoyed one about a doll's house she made, with a thatched roof, and chimney pots..She built it to use for book illustrations, in the books which she writes. I think they might be children's books..She is so clever. He mother was an antique dealer
