I have some homemade pumpkin and minestrone soup that I made last week and froze. So tonight dinner will be easy. Also made homemade bread stuffed with roasted vegetables last night; so it's soup and a sandwich. Great for a cold winters night meal. Then will light fireplace after dinner and enjoy a good movie.

This is the one bright spot about winter.

DH gets home from work earlier than me and will have a fire lit already when I get home. When it's this frigid and yucky, I just get right into my jammies after work.

We have some shows DVRd we'll watch tonight.

According to the thermometer it is a rather chilly 0 degrees right now with temps falling below 0. The high today was 3 !!!!!

I am making one of my families favorite cold night dinners which is pot roast with potatoes, onion and carrots. Along with that we will have cornbread and a salad. We have a fire going in the fireplace, will get comfy and watch a movie while we eat and enjoy.

Good to be inside on a day like today. Hope all of the furbabies are also inside.

Meant to add though you can't beat homemade soup and grilled cheese. That may be tomorrow's dinner. Sounds good.

Slaw dogs and fried potatoes. Yesterday was sausage and lentil soup. Tuesday was homemade beef BBQ, and Monday was breakfast for supper. My trucker daughter will be home tomorrow, and has requested pot roast with carrots, potatoes, rolls and tossed salad.
