Thank you.  Brilliant, timeless music.  I will always see Roger Daltry in the role, but as the saying goes, the kid ain't bad....

Re: For Broadway and Rock Fans

Ohhhh love them!!!  I saw the Who at the Spectrum in Philadelphia I think maybe 1975.  Young, fearless, and could get anywhere without a GPS!   My friends and I saw all the best groups...Zepplin, Stones, Aerosmith, Frampton, Clapton, Earth, Wind & Fire, Marvin Gaye, Al Green and on and on. So glad we did - memories for a lifetime.

thanks for this!

I didn't see the big names you saw but I saw Simon and Garfunkel twice in different decades, Donavan, Buffy St. Marie and Boz Skaggs. They don't make them like that anymore.

@feline groovy.   Loved watching this, thank you for putting up the video.  I was around 16 when Tommy came out.  Sure takes me back.

@feline groovy I saw The Who in the early 1970's in Saratoga, NY.  There were 50,000 people at that concert.  I am from a small town in Nova Scotia, Canada (population 5,000).  It was a memorable experience!

Google Tommy on the Tonight Show, it's easy to find and well worth watching. Given Tommy was a 'rock opera' this makes so much more sense to me than shows created around the lives of popular pop and rock stars and their music. Not saying some of those shows were't good, just that this seems like a much better fit for a theatrical production to me.
