Has QVC decided to get away from selling kitchen products and selling FOOD products that seem to be very high.
I can buy some of the things they sell,namely bagels at my local grocery store for less than what they sell

@Matt1950  I think they show/sell alot of these food products prior to holidays like Mother's Day & Father's Day and others where people get together - it just makes it easier for some people to buy from the Q.

Hubbs wonders if it is cuz it keeps their inventory down.

I have bagels, wings, and salmon on auto ship. What kind of kitchen gadget am I going to buy multiple times a year?

For a lot of the country (not us, it's to hot ) this is bbq season. People are out doors enjoying summer. We in Arizona won't come out of hibernation until Halloween. Then it's bbq season for us. So they keep the food coming for different parts of the country. Also, I wouldn't buy food now because who knows if it will arrive frozen. Even dry ice melts fast in 100-110 degree temps and that's just the outside temperature. The trucks can be over 150 degrees in the back.

@Matt1950   The bagels I've gotten from Just Bagels are a far cry from grocery store bagels.  I didn't even like bagels until I tried those.

They must make huge profits from prepared foods even with the generous refund policy.  Some of the vendors, however, don't seem to manage their businesses very efficiently and often can't produce the product in a timely manner.  Not yet ready for prime time.

I would hope that the Vendor would take the loss or at least part of it.  It is drop shipped from their facility.

I can buy the "same" foods locally, but they are not usually the same quality!  Yes, the bagels are bagels, but they are not the same and not as tasty as the ones I ordered!

My biggest disappoints have been the Rastelli burgers

and Corky's baby back ribs!

What would prevent you from going to a vendor's website to see if the Q really has the best deals on the chosen food? That's what I woud do if I bought food from QVC. Maybe I don't need 3 dozen cookies but the vendor will sell me 1 dozen. I think a lot of the food purchases are impulse buys.

During the In the Kitchen With David show I'm seeing 21 non-food items listed and only 4 food items.

I always check a vendor's website before making a purchase. QVC has offered a better value on every food item I've bought.

I actually buy Just Bagels from the vendor's website.  You can buy 12 or 24 and choose the flavor you want, mix 'em up.  They offer specials but even when they don't it's maybe a few dollars more than on the Q, also with free s/h.  It's worth it to me because I can pick what I want in increments of 4 each flavor.  They bake on Monday and I get my bagels delivered on Wednesday.
