🇺🇸Flag Maintenance

Do you have an American flag outside your home/business?

This is the time of year where the signs of Winter are showing on

your existing flag....maybe a new, fresh flag is needed?

We have 6 half-staff days until the end of the year.

- Is your raising/lowering mechanism working?

- Maybe purchase a black mourning ribbon to add to your

permanent flag for the half-staff days?

- If your flag is illuminated, is lighting in good working condition?

The next half-staff observance is next week for

Peace Officer Memorial Day...with Memorial Day coming soon after.

I realize everyone is busy & days sneak up on us...

just wanted to remind everyone!

Re: 🇺🇸Flag Maintenance

Thanks for the heads-up.  We have flag flying all through the year.  We also have a neighbor who was a Marine and he sometimes gives us a new one when ours looks worn.  He took the last one to destroy it, but if people don't know you can take them to the Fire Dept. to be destroyed.

The veteran's have ceremonies at different locations to dispose of the worn flags.  We used to live near a Elks club and they would take them there and burn them in drums at the large parking lot.  We enjoyed watching the ceremony from our deck.
