I don't know why I waited this long, but I got my first dose of Pfizer this morning. Our local hospital set up a Vax clinic in an old KMart building that they purchased, and it was so efficient. Now I'm anxious to get my next dose. My market is in the same plaza, so 2 birds with one stone. I feel such relief to be almost home free. 🥰

@QVCkitty1I'm very happy for you.  Remember to move your arm as it helps lessen the pain over the next couple days.

That's the hard part - waiting patiently for the second one.  My second on is coming up Wednesday and will be glad to be done.   I keep being afraid I'll show up and they won't have anything.

And, as I always post, remember to take a picture of your card.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@chickenbutt - I got my shots early, in January and February.  Was I worried about the shot?  No.  What drove me bonkers were the "what if's".  will my car start, will I have car trouble or a flat tire on the way, will they actually have a shot for me when I get there.  I was so nervous about all that stuff.

It was in the vaccine early days where you had to keep hitting refresh in the computer and hunt for an appointment.

I remember trying to find a way to get in and it seemed so futile. Then, one day, the husband was in Walgreen's and managed to get me on a 'waitlist'.  Well, it was only a few days later that they gave me a day/time (the next day IIRC) to come in for the first one.

By then, however, I had given up for now.  I figured I'd just wait it out for a while.  Then they lowered the age to cover all adults and I figured I'd be waiting a lot longer.  Imagine my surprise to get a call the next day that I had an appt.

For my second, they don't give a time.  They said to just come in before 4pm.   I would have felt better getting a time.  I might call them today or tomorrow to make sure all is ok.

I have had both of mine and I came home and did several arm rolls and neither time did I have a sore arm at all. My husband and I both got ours with no reactions or side effects of any kind.

I got my first shot this morning too. My county did a drive thru at the fairgrounds. It was all very efficient.
