First Online Video Drs Visit and.....

Had letter from Dr saying had to do the above as had not been seen in over year.

O.k. very nice medical assistant fed me through link on phone and I am then waiting for Dr looking at myself yuk!

All I could see was my uncut, unshaped hair!  I look like I stuck my finger in an electric outlet. -  all fuzzy, very curly looked awful.  Rushed with phone in hand to mirror, trying to adjust then ‘Hello, Dr here’ too late.

Great ‘visit’ but what do you look like on these videos and now our Governor has just today shut us all down again here in CA so no hair cut coming.

I am grateful not sick only bad hair month.  Might add Dr looked good!

😃 Dulwich. Well, doctor was at work and you aren't. Happy that you are healthy. Not happy to read you are locked down again. 😟 I hope we don't do that.

I had a telephone visit, no video, and found it to ba complete waste of time.  Don't want to do that again.

All of my Tela med visits have been great, had one this morning but there was no sound so we did a combo phone and video, it was great

I had a telemedicine appointment as well, and it was fantastic. I almost feel I got more of the doctor's focused attention than when I go to the clinic. Really pleased to have this option, during the pandemic of course, but permanently.

@dulwich

Like you, my hair is out of control right now.  No smoothing in almost a year and...as I said in another post, it looks like a clown wig.

Having said that, don't worry about it.  More important that your health is good...I doubt the doctor has time to think about anyone's appearance.

But, I understand what you are saying.  I've been avoiding looking in any mirrors.

I have a videoconference/doctor appointment coming up next week, so I'll likely go through the same thing you did. I'll be wondering who is THAT woman>  Cat LOL

Re: First Online Video Drs Visit and.....

Got to say this first video ‘visit’ was really first rate.

Medical Asst. called 10 mins prior to visit time to ensure video working - then few mins wait Dr on line - right on time.

I found  this to be better than the office visit, bang on time, no waiting around - would definitely do it again if needed.

I'm curious how you have a proper exam on video?

Re: First Online Video Drs Visit and.....

@QueenDanceALot  I had prior to ‘visit’ done bloodwork Dr ordered (to check on meds I take) also blood pressure reading/temp reading.

I, thankfully, have no ongoing problems but had not seen Dr in over year so had to do this video visit to check thyroid and bp - he also said he likes to see his patients’ faces hence the video not phone visit.

So mine was follow up check only did need physical exam today but probably will have to schedule annual one when Covid lessens.
