The US Nationals are taking place over the weekend. They've already skated The Ladies' and the Pairs' short programs. Some of the events will be broadcast live. (with Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski)

Hi dmod, I hope you are well.

I'm a fan of all skating disciplines but my interest changes as the competitors change. I've been an ice dancing fan since the Russians dominated and the US received next to no recognition. Dare I say, it will not be the same without Davis and White. I followed them from the time they were novices.

We had about 2" of snow Wednesday night. We're expecting a few inches overnight but it is likely to freezing rain/rain. I think we'll be housebound tomorrow.

Went to the grocery store and stocked up with goodies from the liquor store; love my Bailey's!

I remember those Russian ice dancers very well....Klimova and Ponomarenko, B&B (they were so over the top dramatic) and Usova and Zhulin to name a few.

I very much enjoyed some of the pairs from the past. A few of my favorites were G&G, and Underhill and Martini.

We'll be housebound tomorrow too.

I enjoy Johnny and Tara as well.

I have the staples necessary for a snow storm.....Bailey's, chocolate, chips and dip and margarita fixings. LOL

Ahhhh, yes, priorities LOL. Plus the fact that it could be a very long weekend with a 19 and 21 year old here. Hey, I love them very much, but it sure does make for what makes the house seem smaller at times, especially when snowed in.
