My grandparents had that wonderful Irish brogue and I was mesmerized by it.

My Grandpa was full of tall tales also.  He had a good audience in all the grandchildren.

 

My Grandmother was also Irish but born in California.

I've lived in California for over 50 yrs - but born and raised in NYC/Brooklyn, I have the REAL New York Accent.
