I usually start mid September, but this year I might do a little bit earlier than that. I can't wait!

My daughter and I will start when I return home from my vacation because Fall is her favorite season to shop and decorate for; but mine is Christmas!😊

I changed mine the last week in August.  I want to enjoy it before I change it for Christmas.

Re: Fall Decorating

[ Edited ]

Great topic!

I love Autumn, yet it seems soo incredibly short.

(well, actually, as I get older, all Seasons seem so short, so now I try to get the jump on them)

I feel Autumn when the Outdoor Pools close & children go back to school & arent straggling around, peppering the neighborhood any more, at all hours.

Then I pull out the Spiced Apple Cider, a ritual that is a delicious must when I grew up!    BTW, "Alpine" powder/envelopes is a good brand name, imho, & offers Sugar Free, if ya cant get, or dont want the real Cider, at the store.

Sipping hot Spiced Cider, bundled up, sitting outside, chill on the cheeks, while watching the leaves fall.  Watching the neighborhood pull out their Pumpkins, carved & otherwise,  & viewing the Orange, Yellow Mums & the scarecrows.  Hearing the sounds of Leaf Blowers or Raking.

So, I've already changed my QChat Avatar here to my Autumn Kitty.

DH pulled the bins out over the weekend so I'll be doing some decorating here soon.

I don't really have any summer specific decor items but I do add fall things normally around the first of October.
