Until about 5 years ago, the truth just was.

It still is, thankfully.

That doesn't change no matter how much propaganda tries to deceive and distort.

@JamandBread   If the truth just was until about 5 years ago, and now it still is, what happened between now and "about 5 years ago"?

Your interpretation of the truth is attached to your own agenda.

Explain.

Propaganda is what happened. It has worked with a third of the population and it's sad and in some cases, frightening.

But I am confident this will also pass. Like intense gas pain.

@Drythe I don't understand how people who claim to have zero grasp on objective reality can have so many opinions on things they've never experienced.

Where did they get their information? If they don't trust anyone, and it didn't happen to them personally, they're kind of out of luck about knowing anything about the world around them.

Social media has corrupted this country. Period. Every nut has a platform. And people believe it.

Somewhat like reading a speech by someone else, publishing whole chunks under your own name, then saying you just didn’t remember what part was not yours?

So @MorningLover did you used to use Snopes as an objective source for validating or debunking your pet theories? What objective fact checker do you use now?

I don't find snopes to be a neutral site.  I find them to lean in a certain direction.  One can find articles all over to support what they believe to be the "facts."

Is that a rethorical question?  You know 1/3 = 33%.
