I think that was MZ's fatal mistake.  It was reported to make 45 look bad but once that door was opened, bam, it opened the door for 44 mining data on everyone!! And they admitted it!!!

plus, even though WE dont expose our own names, qvc/liberty media has our name/address/phone numbers, credit card numbers, spending habits, and more......all that are linked to our user names. we dont know how much of THAT information is shared either

@JaneMarple, I remember dooBdoo who worked in IT warning us not to post personal photos here. Something about face recognition and all our info could be found and traced. Any photos are at risk. I have so wanted to share my grandson's photo but refrain because of that...

area information

telling everyone they own guns

very personal intimate issues

photos of home, selves, pets, grandkids

marital problems

the list goes on and on.....

OK, so here's the reality for everyone.  I am not talking about FB or anything else on line.  I am talking about this forum.

We can't talk politics, religion, or controversial topics.  Add to that NO personal experiences, nothing about our daily lives, illnesses, interactions with others, photos . . . leaving only one thing we can discuss . . .

QVC PRODUCTS !!!

. . . which leaves me, for one, with absolutely nothing to write about!!  Might as well sink this ship!!

Nobody in this thread is telling you that you can't talk about personal experiences, etc.  They're just pointing out (correctly, IMO) that it doesn't make sense for someone who is wary of Facebook to post personal information here, when the information is not any safer...and may very well be less safe.
