@Nancy Drew     I ordered 5 online... I do not wear them as the plastic is not real clear... it is like foggy looking out the shield.

@SeaMaiden That is a protective film on the plastic.  Hold the shield up to the light and you should be able to see a corner where you can start to pull the film off.

I haven't seen anybody wearing face shields around here.

@stuyvesant   even with the protective film off( I did take it off) the invisibility is rather hazy... not crystal clear and it just bothers me.

Re: Face Shields

[ Edited ]

Like every other aspect of this situation, one supposes it's impossible to avoid a debate but the reality is that the CDC essentially 'exempts' certain groups from wearing face masks and given that, local jurisdictions are going to be up against the wall trying to enforce any supposed requirements if one can suggest they are part of one of those groups. A shield is better than nothing. Those who can't wear face masks opting for shields is at least a step in the right direction. And while they might not offer the protection of a mask, let's be real here, the jury is still out on exactly how much protection people are deriving from non-medical masks. Given yet more supply chain issues rearing their ugly heads, non-medical masks are still pretty much the only masks available, which at this point is utterly ridiculous in and of itself.

Me either. I think it's going overboard if you're just shopping or anything like that.
