Last week I had a delivery from a guy who was working out of a large budget rental truck.  He had a milk crate type box on wheels and was walking the neighborhood filled with stuff he was delivering.  He was in street clothes.

Friday I saw my mailman who had just stopped in one part of my neighborhood, opened the back of his vehicle and packages literally fell out to the street.

I agree...don't like it either.  Usually adds 3 days to shipping time.  My DB TSV sat in Atlanta for 3 days...I prefer UPS delivery.  VB also uses it now and sometimes also LE.  Always takes longer where I live in Central FL.

Not a fan either...it takes forever.

I ordered something on 12/2/15...arrived on 12/19.

Years back I would order something and get it withinn 3 days from the day that it was shipped.  That was using UPS.  We live in the country and UPS has not been delivering here for several years.  Now the packages take between 7 to 10 days to deliver and that is from the same companies.

We were waiting for a package that we had to sign for and Fed Ex was the delivery company.  I checked online and also phoned Fed Ex and was told that the delivery date was to be today.  On Friday we came home and there was a note on the door stating that Fed Ex was here and that because there was no one home at the time that they could not leave the package.  I mean hello I do not have a crystal ball telling me that they changed the delivery date without notification.  I once again phoned Fed Ex and they told me that it would be here on Tues.  Luckly we were home today and guess what.....they delivered it today.

 It could be worse -you could be dealing with the DHLequivalent. My DH buys computer parts from a firm in NJ and lighter items they send via DHL that delivers them to the local PO for delivery. We live in Upstate NY and he has seen packages travel via DHL to Ohio to NY City area to Buffalo and then to our local PO for delivery - it took 10 days to go from NJ to Upstate NY.

My smartpost deliveries take one day longer. Every blue moon it might take two.

@Miranda1550

It's when the packages are transferred from Fed Ex or UPS  to your local post office for delivery.

Most everything we get the past couple of years comes first with either FedEX Smartpost, or UPS.  We live out in the boonies in NH and it takes the usual 5 to 6 days with UPS and then to USPS and then 3 more days.

I have tracked packages that were coming from Ma. to here by way of south to RI, then Connecticut, to Vermont back to NH.  One time it even went to Va. and back to here.  I gave up trying to figure it all out.  This year they already lost 2 packages, one from QVC.  Ordered it back in mid Nov. and they cannot find it.  To think that my insurance company wants me to have all 9 of my scripts delivered to my house!  One time a small package was hung on our mailbox which is 400 feet through a wodded area to our house,  A snow plow hit it and pushed it about a 1/2 mile from our house.  No way am I having perscriptions delivered here!  If it is something expensive or important I now have it delivered ot our daughters house where UPS delivers right to her front porch.  BTW she also lives in a wooded area.
