Good Morning all. So I just got to work about 20 minutes ago and I'm sitting here having my coffee before a meeting. Our current weather here in SE MD this morning is 78 degrees with 98% humidity. Someone here posted about something called corn sweat. Well I drive by a cornfield on my way to work and sure enough, there was a mist haze right above the top of the corn.
My papers for my meeting are like damp washcloths and are sticking together...it's a good one today. I will miss the 3 H's (hazy, hot, humid).
Enjoy this wonderful weather if you have it 😊.

Yes!
At certain times of day under the right conditions one can actually see the "fog" or "mist" directly over the fields of corn.

Dogs have a difficult time cooling off when the humidity is high b/c panting for them doesn't work well in high humidity. The '150 rule' is a good guideline for dogs and humidity. Add the humidity + temperature and if it's over 150 then don't exercise your dog or let it outdoors for long periods. Dogs can overheat and possible get sick or even die.

It's been super humid here in SW PA but less so today and cooler. Very comfy this morning - I actually opened my deck door. (At the request of my cat lol.)

I like a little humidity and very much dislike in the winter when everything I touch sparks without it. That being said, we've had high 90 temperatures with high 90 humidity for over a month now. I'm weary and so tired of looking at the weather reports and seeing "feels like" temperatures over 100. 78 degrees sounds heavenly! Our corn has been done since June so can't check the sweat. Chances of remembering to check next June are slim ![]()

Super humid here in NJ too. Should be around 85 today so it's not the worst. It will change later in the week.

I live in Maryland and the humidity and mosquitos are terrible in the summer. I simply don't feel like going out in July and August!

Here in Chicago--reasonable temps in the low 80s but high humidity--80/90%. UGH! My body definitely does not like it!
I feel sorry for anyone who has had vacation time this month. It has been awful.

Your posts about loving the humidity here in Maryland always make me laugh...This summer has been extremely humid so you must be in heaven
I've visited arid climates and they suck the life out of your body so I remind myself that my skin is staying plump...and sweaty.
We've had a hard rain almost every night for a week here in Southern Maryland, so the days are extra steamy! Corn sweat, indeed!
From hazy, hot and humid Charles County...enjoy the rest of the summer.
