I read some fun information in yesterday's New York Times.  Thanks to the super El Nino that's formed in the Pacific, next summer will be worse, the hottest ever.   It will affect the weather world-wide.

You haven't lived this summer until you walked the Walt Disney World parks in 100 plus degree heat warnings and then went back to the hotel around noon to shower and put on your second outfit of the day.

Hoping for an early, cool and long fall. This summer has been egregiously miserable and especially a challenge for those with certain health issues. I detest humidity.

@bmorechick

29% humidity here in the Denver area.

Still looking forward to Fall / Winter hopefully we'll get some snow this season.

I have my hair in a ponytail for a month. Horrible humidity. One of my dogs has a collapsing trachea...terrible for her.

Thanks for the reminder about pets @SilleeMee. This is so very important.

I live by a large park and sometimes see people running with their dogs on a leash in the heat. Such a terrible idea!

Pets need extra TLC in the heat and humidity. Extra water, short walks (in the shade, if possible), kept off of hard hot surfaces like pavement and sidewalks in the sun, and AC and/or fan.

Temp was onlyn 79 this morning, but humidity was 98%! I did my walking inside on all the floors of the bldg. and back again. Others had the same idea since when I checked the gym, all treadmills were taken.

This is one of the hottest summers (rain, storms, power outages, lightening, etc.) in NC I remember.... following one of the coldest winters.
