Ants hate basil. I go around and srpnkle crushed dried basil in cracks, door jams, window sills and it seems to make them run.

 

I know you have more than ants but basil is one herb you could use until you decide on a bigger treatment.

 

I only have little tiny brown ants, and only in the spring, so basil works fine for me.

I can handle ants, june bugs, wasps, stink bugs, beetles, spiders, lizards, snakes, ....anything EXCEPT those HUGE FLYING COCKROACHES!!!!  One flew right at me one time.....arrrgggggghhhhhh!
