Sadly, things like this happen. Seems like lots of tragedies lately like the missing plane.

2 dead, 24 injured.

He just said he is reporting from inside the police lines, with their permission.

He says they must have capped off the gas - because the smell has dissipated.

The gas smell had been smelled for a few weeks; before anyone reported it.

Metro North is shut down for the time being at Grand Central Station before they check out their tracks (debris on them from the explosion) and checking out a viaduct, trains pass through.

Mayor of NYC is having a press conference now live on WCBS TV.

Just wondering how my husband and brother will get home from Manhattan, its going to be a long day

Just now seeing this.

Please folks, if you ever even think you might smell gas, call the gas company immediately.

If you smell it inside your house, get out, and then call the gas company.

They would rather go check out a thousand false alarms than have one incident like this.

I hope your loved ones made it home alright tonight. They probably will bus the commuters to the station stop after 125th St, which I think is in the Bronx before Westchester County and points north.

Just saw this and thank you, there was only service in the Bronx not at 125th Street. We were lucky service was resumed at 4 00PM just ad my hubby was leaving his office. He said the train was super slow up to 125 and then waited 20 minutes of more at the Woodlawn station in the Bronx, but he did get home with out too much hassle
