No more ROBO as in robo calls?

That much I understand, is it a device or a block that comes from a phone provider?

Go to nomorobo dot com and see if your phone can have simultaneous ring set up to it which is how it works. Not every phone service is compatible with it.

The video on the site explains how it works.

I have caller ID and I never answer the phone unless I know the phone # or name on the display.

I have phone service through my cable provider and I just logged on to my account, and was able to sign up through them.  It took less than 5 minutes and it was free.  I also signed up my elderly parents and they no longer get those telemarketing calls either.  The best thing is that your landline phone will ring once and then hang up on them.  So everytime the phone rings once only, I know it's another call that I didn't have to deal with.  It still allows normal phone calls from doctors, friends/family, and others to get through, but in the 6 months that I've had it, I no longer have endless blank messages on my answering machine and have to jump and get the phone when it's just another telemarketing company trying to sell me solor, artificial grass, a/c service, etc..

I don't usually encourage these scammers and would never call them back, but I have messed with them on occasion and had a good laugh at their expense.  Better to laugh than get angry over them.
