@JustJazzmom: Those spam emails from Benin, that come into my "junk" box, are laughable. They all say l've won millions in a lottery, and they want to ship me a debit card from which l can withdraw $5,000 a day. All l need to do is wire them a "small fee," along with lots of personal information. One even claimed to be from Michelle Obama, and another from Janet Yellin. Lol. I forward every one to government site: spam@uce.gov. I hope they can catch them.

What I'm "concerned" about is all those folks in Nigeria that are now without a job since the scamming business has moved to India and the Philippines....Nigeria and the word SCAM had become synonyms in the dictionary...

Our land line, TV cable service and internet is bundled but we do not have a very widely known cable service.  It probably is only a few hundred square miles.  But if a small service like ours has it, I'm sure much larger services has something similar.  In the 3 months we've had this $2.50 a month block, we have not recieved one computer generated or telemarketer call.  Every person who has called our house has said they would pay anything for this service.

@chrystaltree I am one of those "People" who occassionally have fun with the people who call to Scam me, I cannot speak for the others but I never caledl them back, I pick up the phone when they have called me and turn the tables, I then write down their number and never pick up the phone when/if they call again, but I have never had them call back!

Thank you to the posters who suggested I refrain from picking up, most of the times the calls are in my area code and sometimes my eldest calls from other phones so I'm hesistant to block or not pick up.

I don't get those calls any longer since I activated nomorobo on my landline.  The best is the one who called and told me that they were from the IRS and there was pending legal action against me and I needed to act immediately.  I tell them flat out that they are a scam and it irritates them, so I insist that they are a scam while laughing and I'm not going to fall for their story and they are wasting their time.  They have actually started to yell at me that "this is not a scam", and I'm laughing so hard, they eventually give up and I never got another call.  I can tell you that once nomorobo was activated, I have yet to get another call.
