My husband and I (two old geezers) want to visit Epcot in March. We were there 30 years ago when it was just getting underway and only a few of the countries were completed. Any suggestions on how to make our visit a good one? We only have two days available for the visit. Thanks for any ideas you might wish to share!

Sounds like you will be there a little too early for the Flower Festival. The new Frozen attraction in Norway might be open . .. taking place of the Maelstrom boat ride.

We were there a few years ago and yes it really has changed even in the last 10 years before that. Some of the posters have links to sites for you --- the poster ""Disneylandfan"" knows a lot about up to date info and is very nice and helpful.

There is an app called My Disney Experience. It features all four Disney parks. Go to EPCOT. It not only has a map of the park but it also details many attraction in Epcot. Sign in to get fast passes, reservations, etc. Soaring Is amazing. There is also a Disboards app with a lot of info and discussions, same with Disney Talk. There are many free apps for Disney parks. Epcot is amazing. It is one of my favorite parks. You will love the Flower and Garden Festival. I enjoy so many of the countries, France, Italy, Germany, the American Adventure to name only a few. Enjoy.

The World Showcase area, last time I visited anyhow, was closed until 11 AM, so that Future World was mandatory when the park opens.

Don't miss the California ride at the Horizons pavilion--it is a lot of fun.

The food at Epcot used to be more distinctive than it is nowadays, but the Norway bakery still has good open-face sandwiches and coffee. The shopping is also more Disney than global (for instance, Disney characters in national dress, Donald in a sombrero, etc. rather than foods and items from the foreign country), so shopping isn't the draw it used to be.

Epcot is still my favorite park, though the Animal Kingdom is wonderful, too. Epcot has the prettiest landscaping and flowers. Shopping is still good in the Mexico pavilion, which has changed very little over the years, and in Germany. France and Italy used to have more interesting souvenirs of the country. England has teas to be found in any supermarket, which I find puzzling.

You'll have a great time! Enjoy--

Thanks Burnsite! I guess I have to do some research on Future World.

Is it best to try to get tickets prior to arrival?

It's best to get your Fast Passes ahead of time. I go on Soaring and Spaceship Earth often. I make sure I get Fast Passes on My Disney Experience. You don't have to have Fast Passes but it is so much better if you do. The Disboards is a discussion group like this one. There is so much to see and do in Epcot. You will have a blast.
