I think she is probably more popular with female viewers than male viewers and late night is more slanted toward the male viewer..

Isn't most of the world slanted toward males? Just saying......................

daytime TV, not so much...

The question is, does she want to be his replacement?

Re: Ellen should replace David Letterman

I have said this before on one of these threads.....why do they have to have a replacement for him.....????? Maybe there could be some good movies to take his place. IMO there are enough of these kinds of shows on during the day and late night.

Really, no one can replace anyone......they just fill in until the next guy goes.....

Yes, no one can replace Dave. However, the network is in business to make $$$$$ Good movies? What would that be? Reruns of old movies we've seen over & over again - like Turner Classics. Doubt this would be a $$$$$$ maker.

Yeah, replace him with re-runs of Perry Mason, Ironside and Murder, She Wrote...

I spent many years watching Johnny Carson.....and once these other guys got on and made their footprint.....just got tired of those kinds of shows every night. And most of the time I had to be in bed at a good time because I had to get up and go to work.

Face it, there are far too many TV channels today......and heck, it makes life so confusing......LOL.....

I remember when the TV channels went off the air at midnight......

Re: Ellen should replace David Letterman

Jimmy Fallon has brought his own slant to The Tonight Show....some things carried over from his other show, but many are new. I think Ellen has not yet reached her potential. I enjoyed her as host of the Oscars and enjoy her afternoon show when I catch it.

I would love to see a woman on late night TV.

Neil Patrick Harris is turning up at the top of many speculative lists on who will take over for David Letterman when he retires next year.

Just an update from RadarO

Would he be a good choice, Preds? I don't see him on shows much.
