For me cooking for one I have a 4qt which runs either too hot or too cold for even cooking.....I have a big clunky heavy ceramic one for in case I'm cooking for more....I prefer my ninja flip counter oven which has many features that fits my needs love it!

No, it def won't last as long.  The Nesco roaster I have came from QVC in the early 2000s.  When I take it to gatherings, everyone wants it.  All my nice kitchen appliances are just collecting dust now

Maybe you could honor your Nesco roaster by placing potted plants in it (g).

A basic slow cooker meets my needs. I don't tend to do anything fancy with it.

@Bella8888 "We" are a 2 person household.  We have a CrockPot brand crock pot.  Works great and is just our size.

Maybe you could email Stephanie O'Dea, who wrote four excellent crockpot cookbooks, for her latest recommendation. I don't think that she is still publishing recipes but, as a  very devoted crock pot cook, I think she might have an updated recommendation. She is into other profesional things now.
