Go to Post Office, wear a mask, disinfect hands when back in car, wash hands when back home. Do not touch face.

Seems to me that this is the sellers error, the seller should send you a free postage return label, and you can leave the pkg in your mailbox for your mail carrier to pick up. Seller has to make good on their error.

Guess i'm just a naive person, but by golly, if I were a seller and sent out the wrong item I'd issue a refund pronto or send the correct item with an apology and tell them to keep the mistake item and send it back when the pandemic is over.
If the mailman picks it up at my home, where's my tracking and proof I sent it?
Thank you all for responding,
Seannie
--------------My mailman scans the package before he keeps going on his route!!

@Seannie Just take anything, even winter gloves, to open the PO doors, assuming you have a mask.. Here, SO few people are about, it's like a ghost town even in the grocery store!
Then, leave the winter gloves in the back floor of your car a few months!

I do sympathize with you, but the seller does not know if you are honest or dishonest. Unfortunately that's reality. The protocol for a refund is to receive back the defective/wrong item before getting a refund. As a seller myself, I've had some bad apples (99% have been good though!!) and people wanting to keep the item AND get a refund. Nope!
I DO also get with the pandemic not wanting to go out! Does your post office have a self service kiosk (mine does)? You can walk to it and not have to interact with another human being (just wear gloves to touch the screen). Or if you can print out a label from the post office or the seller can provide one to you electronically. Good luck!!

If the seller sent an incorrect item, make sure you note this (an item NOT as described) on the ebay return page. Ebay will then make the seller provide you with a return label. If the seller is out of the US, they cannot email you a label but should provide you with the MONEY to purchase one.
If the seller emails you the label, make sure you note the tracking number before mailing it out. If you're sent the money, use it to purchase a label ONLINE so you can print it. Again, make sure you note the tracking number. Then set it out with your regular mail; no need to go to the post office either way.
If you don't receive either a label or the money, you'll need to wait until ebay lets you ask them to step in. You should then be refunded without needing to send the item back.
