We eat out maybe once a week. I love cooking though and preparing healthy meals is one of the few things I'm really good at,lol!

I also have girls night out about once every 6 weeks where we go to a nice restaurant and celebrate each others birthdays, that is always fun.

Wow. We eat out for special occasions only, like birthdays, wedding anniversary, that sort of thing. It's a big treat for us, not an everyday thing. It's not about the cost, it's about enjoying it as a rare treat.

It's a rare occasion for me to eat out as well. I think I only ate out once last year. LOL, I had a couple of gift cards for Outback, so went with some friends and the four of us had a free meal. The restaurants around here always seem to be busy. When I do go, I go when they open, otherwise there tends to be a wait.

DH and I eat out a couple times per week. I usually order a senior meal because I can't eat a large meal. Most restaurants in our area will do that for $1.00 off the full meal price even though they don't advertise it on their menu. If I order a large meal I also ask for a box and take some of it home, although I don't usually eat leftovers. I find the beverage prices to be very high -- close to $3.00, sometimes more for a soda, iced tea or coffee. Sometimes I ask for water with a slice of lemon. We rarely order dessert.

There's eating out and then there's eating out. Which restaurants are packed? The Pancake House?

I eat out & find it cheaper than buying groceries. I will usually opt for a sandwich or salad around 2:00, then have fruit at home that evening. There are lots of small mom & pop places with good home cooked food, salads, bar-b-q, & sandwiches in my small town. I'm not a steak or Olive Garden type person.

We go out to eat at least once a week, sometimes twice. Other times my husband and I take turns cooking but he cooks more than I do. When we go its empty because we eat dinner @ 430 being hes up at 4AM for work and he eats lunch at work at 10AM! So we eat early and restaurants here don't get busy until about 6PM. We go to mostly locally owned restaurants, sometimes even diners, and its not pricy at all for dinner for the 2 of us with a soda or ice tea etc.
