We only eat out a few times a month....because when we do, we spend a lot of money. Might be all the drinking we do.....{#emotions_dlg.blush}

Plus....I'm a really, really good cook. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Yeah my DH says my food is better then most of the restaurants. But the restaurants clean up afterwards.

Don't get me wrong! I love to eat out! But we easily average a hundred bucks or more each time we go out. And forget about it if we go out with friends. Even more money.

We eat out for Mexican and Chinese cuisines, usually at lunchtime. Otherwise, my husband prefers my cooking. In my area, restaurants appear to be busier during the dinner hours.

Add pizza to your list and you are describing us too.

We like to pick up a freshly-assembled pizza at Papa Murphy's and bake it at home.

Wow. We eat out for special occasions only, like birthdays, wedding anniversary, that sort of thing. It's a big treat for us, not an everyday thing. It's not about the cost, it's about enjoying it as a rare treat.

We do that sometimes but I really, really like pizza so we have a few favorite spots to indulge. BTW I have finally run across that sandwich shop you like--something like Which Wich? Haven't stopped in yet though.

We eat out frequently, usually for lunch. Today we went to O'Charley's. It was pretty crowded.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

We live in a military town and there are always soldiers eating out. Several times we have anonymously picked up the tabs for the soldiers...I love doing that! Plus our restaurants are fuller during the ""winter visitor"" season.

That's so sweet, madzonie!{#emotions_dlg.wub}

To the original post, we used to eat out frequently, but it was because of our crazy, unpredictable schedules. Yes, the cost can go up substantially if you order drinks -- especially the ones laced with spirits!{#emotions_dlg.devil2}

I've not noticed a change in the number of people out and about at our local restaurants.

My wife ate out often before her stroke but now since she cannot drive? Her cousin with pick her up and also her mother and they will go out to eat maybe a couple times a week.

Me? I can't remember the last time I ate out, even the year. Money is tighter and prices are higher and for me eating out wasn't something I have ever needed in my life. I worked too many years when young at drive-in restaurants and regular restaurants so maybe that had something to do with it.

Can have a very good meal of only things I like at home. Eating out has always been low on my priority list even long before money(price to eat out) came into the equation. I am able to make my own nutritious and good tasting meals at home for a lot less money than eating out and that is what I will continue to do.

My wife? That is up to her.
