I made a purchase on eBay yesterday. Instead of bidding I

chose the BUY IT NOW price ( as I felt it was fair ). The

purchase went though PayPal .

My question is Why haven't I heard back from the seller ?

I sent 2 nice messages ....one a few hours after the

purchase and one today. This seller has positive ratings.

Could it be they haven't checked their eBay messages

yet? This item may have been a new listing ( with Bid option )

so maybe they didn't expect it to sell so fast ! ? 

All my other purchases went smoothly with Different

sellers, making contact with me soon after the purchase

was made. Is there a time frame the seller has ? This

item showed I could get it 4/7 but now it's just sitting !

Update.... My item is arriving today 4 / 8 . This seller just didn't ship out as

fast as all the others . Also they never responded back to me when I had 

a question..........  I  received my purchase and it's fine.

I use Ebay all the time. First and most important is the Sellers history and feedback.  It has to be stellar... then price.... I rarely use bidding... much prefer BUY IT NOW.   Free shipping is a big plus for me as well.  If they offer to take best price.. I will always offer something less and in most cases I can save up to 20% off of the going price.

Go back to the auction and read their shipping terms. Did you ask a question that requires a reply?

When I sell something, I always say it will ship within 2 business days, and then I send them a quick email when it ships.    HTH

Just remember that even if it says Buy Now, it never hurts to make an offer. Countless times I have done that and always gets a better price. I just contact the seller, make an offer and then they usually try to go a little higher but it never ends up being as high as the Buy It Now price.

One other thought. Many sellers of clothing items do not list measurements for proper fit. You'd be surprised at how different some size 6 skirts can be. I will ask them to provide measurements if I am interested at all in making a purchase. Asking can save the hassle of a return.

Originally I just asked about a detail on the item. I didn't get a response so later just decided to buy . It looked fine. I decided to Buy Now (instead of waiting for bidding to end in a week ). I wanted to get it sooner ! I just thought once your payment went thru the seller would respond or it would show shipped by today!

I asked on eBay community and was told that not all sellers mark an item shipped. They said to wait and see. If it's late two or three days without any notifications then go to the next step.

All my other purchases with other sellers went so smooth.

I had contact with them and this time it's different . Hopefully

it will work out.

Rememeber that ebay is on Mr Rebates and all the other rebate sites, often the rates change and are categorized too. Hope you get invited ot join ebay Bonus Bucks, this a reward system, but by invitation only from ebay. Ebay is my go to dept store for the last 12 years.
